Lara Catherina Stone, the hot, sexy, sizzling hot, bikini babe is a Dutch model and she is currently the face of Calvin Klein and she was born in the small Dutch town of Mierlo on December 20, 1983 to a Dutch mother and a British father.She was raised in the Dutch town of Mierlo.
Life and Career
Stone was first discovered by a modeling agent in the Paris Metro, at age 12 and took part in the Elite Model Look competition in 1999 when she was just 15. Although she did not win, she impressed Elite executives and was signed to the Elite Modeling Agency. She worked there for a few months. She worked there as a struggling model. But she didn’t have to wait long to be famous; her career took a positive turn when she was signed by IMG in 2006 and began a career gracing the catwalks and campaigns of the world's most influential designers and brands including; Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lanvin, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Balmain, Celine, Hermès, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana and Hugo Boss. Soon after, she opened the Givenchy haute couture show in Paris.
Her famously curvy figure and gap-toothed smile set her apart from other models of her generation, securing her editorial coverage in no less than seven international editions of Vogue.
Her trademarks include the gap between her front teeth and her wobbly runway catwalk, which can be attributed to her unusually small feet for someone so tall (size 7 feet), smaller than the regular runway shoe which are size 8-10. As a result she told French Vogue in February 2009 that she doesn't enjoy appearing on the catwalk at all, constantly telling herself whilst walking, "Do not fall, do not fall!"
In an interview she told "Every time I go to the dentist, they always say, 'You really need to fix that gap of yours.' I'm like, 'My gap is paying your dentist bills.'"
She made an appearance in French Vogue in October 2009 with her face and body blackened, resulting in an international racial controversy, and appeared for Jaeger, Eres and DSquared for autumn/winter 2009-10. Stone is featured in the 2011 Pirelli Calendar photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. Stone won British Fashion Awards's Model of the year 2010
Since September 2009, Stone has been dating the British comedian David Walliams. On 20 January 2010 it became known that they were engaged.
