She was born in Mahrouna, South Lebanon, on March 10, 1976. Haifa Wehbe is a Shia Lebanese Muslim though her mother is Egyptian, and she has three sisters. She was crowned "Miss South Lebanon" by the time she was sixteen. In 2006 she released a follow up single "Bus al-Wawa" (Kiss the booboo), from her upcoming album ‘Baby Haifa’ which was to be released at the end of 2008 or early 2009 but latter released in 2010 under Rotana Records. Radio Scope and Sawt Al Musika voted this song "Bus al-Wawa" as “Song of the Year” in 2006. This song was also used in Pepsi advertisement.

She was worked as a spokesperson for Pepsi. She has also worked on Pepsi ads with the famous football star Thierry Henry which was aired on Lebanese television during the 2006 FIFA World Cup. She also appeared in the film Sea of Stars produced by Pepsi which was released in 2008.

She has been accused for singing a song whose racist lyrics means to compare black Egyptians to monkeys.
